The Mirror Lake swimming area is closed for the season. Swimming is prohibited as lifeguards are not present. See you next June!
We may be registering all lake visitors on a daily basis this season. If required to do so, all members must check in with the lifeguard upon arrival each day. You will be asked to provide your name and address and to show your beach tags to ensure membership is current. If the beach is busy, you will receive a flag. Please place the flag in the sand by the area you are occupying. Thank you for keeping guests outside PGL to a minimum.
For the protection of our staff and beautification of our grounds, there are no longer trash or recycling bins at the beach. No bags may be left at the curb. Do not use the playground or basketball trash. Carry in, carry out - members are asked to take their trash and recycling with them when they leave.
Do not leave any of your beach toys, floaties, rafts, boats, towels, etc. They will move to lost & found at the end of the night and disposed of 24-hrs later if not claimed.
There must at all times be a PGL member in good standing present while having non-PGL guests at the beach area (or any common area). Interested in a small gathering/party? You must contact the board for pre-approval to secure the date and lifeguards and adhere to party rules which will be provided. PGL is a private members-only community and tags and ID should be on you at all times.
A port-o-potty is provided as a convenience to members and their guests intended to be used during beach opening hours. Paper towels and cleaning spray can be used to wipe down any surfaces. The use of hand sanitizer is also encouraged. Clean up after yourself and young children must be accompanied by adults to ensure they are safe and clean.
Any items left at the lake will be held for 24 hours, and then discarded. Please be sure to bring all of your items home with you at the end of your visit. Do not leave boats, canoes, paddle boards, life jackets. They clutter the beach, are nesting grounds for mosquitos, and are not allowed to be kept overnight. Bring everything home that you brought in.
We are all paying members. If you see someone not accompanied by a PGL homeowner on our common properties (swimming, fishing, etc). politely say something. We get a lot of surprise guests in the summer looking for a nice watering hole, and while we'd love to welcome all, it is not fair to the members in good standing who pay for these common areas, the lifeguards, landscaping, etc. Contact the local police in case of emergency.
Pine Grove’s Mirror Lake Rules
Association of Property Owners at Pine Grove Lakes (PGLA)
Lifeguards are provided for the safety of PGLA members and their guests; however, swimming is at your own risk and has inherent dangers associated with it. It is incumbent upon the members and their guests to recognize these risks and use good judgment and common sense when utilizing any of the association’s common properties and facilities. Even though the lifeguard is on duty, it is incumbent upon parents and/or guardians to supervise the activities of their children and guests, at all times, in and out of the water.
The lifeguard has the authority to restrict the lake privileges of anyone who is repeatedly acting in an unsafe manner or is in violation of the lake rules.
